If you believe you are so right why don't you come back to the US to plead your case instead of hiding in Russia?

Because in this country you must hold office, or be wealthy to stand a chance in court.

He said he'll come back if he's promised a fair and free trial

Maybe he can get the same deal Patraeus did...probation and $100,000 fine. Snowden did not smoke cigars with the good old boys club of DC so he cant reveal gov corruption with Impunity.

People like Ed Snowden don’t get a free and fair trial. He would be made an example of so the federal government could continue its assault on people trying to actively improve our democracy and the transparency of our government agencies

Why is there even a SECRET FISA COURT? Isn't that the thing that should be blowing everyone's mind!
-
Ugh! Pick up a book or two. It is necessary to protect the U.S. from enemies of the U.S. and it requires several layers of proof and confirmation to obtain a FISA warrant. That is, you can't just p/up the phone and ask that one be issued.

Pretty close, only .3% have ever been denied.

I guess he doesn't know about the deal you and greenwald cut with the government and the fact that almost nothing was released.
-
Link or other context, please, Stanley?
-
3) problem with additional releases in his book some year later. Its been written that the sum total of the release between snowden and greenwald was no more than perhaps 10%, if that, of the info they obtained.
-
So you are saying they asked the government to object to particulars that they thought might cause operational security risks?
-
I'm saying they made a deal with the government. I have no idea what it was or its benefits. One persons security risks is anothers coverup. If that was the test the Pentagon Papers would have never seen the light of day.
