Why are we making a big deal about this? They’re paid to play (very well) a contact sport. They know what the consequences are. Are you going to make a video about road construction workers and possibly getting hit by a vehicle? What about porn stars and contracting STD’s? No.

But , the tough decision is jr high. High school football. To some its the only way they see to get into college, is it worth it ?

Yes, but they choose to do this. It’s obviously not important to them or they don’t care.

It's engrained into our society. Do you really think every kid playing football thinks in terms of danger? Kids aren't wired to recognize dangers.

So if they leave college early to go pro and they decide being a professional athelete isnt them would they still be able to return to use that previous scolarship.

As opposed to American football, rugby hitting is way more technical and therefore players are less prone to have injuries like that, also that is why back when players did not use helmets, concussions were less common, technique was required instead of pure brawn.

"I've got a helmet, he's got a helmet, let's go head to head" sort of logic of a player?

In a sense, yeah, but is more like “I got a helmet so I feel super confident I won’t get hurt whatsoever so I’ll hit with what comes first”
