Today's vote (happening around 5PM) will authorize the White House to carry out unconstitutional, warrantless monitoring of "one-end domestic" communications for the next six years. Please, make a call and stand up for the 4th Amendment. Congressional switchboard: 202-224-3121https://twitter.com/ACLU/status/953308831429341184 …

We need to stop Congress from handing the Trump administration expanded surveillance powers. The Senate votes today. Call your senators ASAP – especially if they’re on this list. https://www.aclu.org/ReformSection702-callTW … pic.twitter.com/kLNePqZTfX

It’s better to stop surveillance programs in Congress, as it can be difficult to challenge them in court.https://www.amazon.com/Being-Watched-Challenges-Government-Surveillance/dp/1479809276 …

The 'Resistance' will vote for surveillance without warrants. In Senate, too. Because they don't resist the important things/issues.

It’s actually a cloture vote to determine if there will be any public debate or opportunity for amendment. It’s make-or-break though, since if cloture is invoked, the Senate is likely to pass the bill later this week.

As if politicians care or have any power to change it. The laws are made by the money creators, begging politicians just gives people a false sense of control.

I think complaining only empowers them. Complaints only become a metric. It tells them what more they can get away with, how to hide future changes, etc..

in their defense, nsa intel is seldom used domestically, & in the current environment, what they do is mostly necessary - but the potential for abuse ala big brother exists bigtime - be careful what you do & be sure those you trust w/ your vote are worthy
