It is the natural tendency of government to desire perfect records of private lives. History shows that no matter the laws, the result is abuse. https://twitter.com/zackwhittaker/status/948999538731311105 …

But that's not even the worst part. Once you are an admin, you can make ANYONE YOU CHOOSE an admin of the portal. You could be an Indian, or a foreign national, none of it matters – the Aadhaar database won’t ask. Access to data of 119,22,59,062 Indians.https://www.thequint.com/news/india/exclusive-aadhaar-dirty-secret-out-add-anyone-as-data-admin …

Please keep your panic within you. Don't spread it in public. If you don't like aadhaar concept that's your opinion. Don't force your opinion on others. Just spreading rumors will not help you in maintaining your reputation. JAI HIND

He is not forcing anything. It's truth and he has every right to say it. These leaks aren't going to fix themselves on their own. Govt did not listen to any of the privacy concerns raised by people. This leak is on govt and people who blindly support govt.

It is the natural tendency of government to seek solutions when they have critical leakage rates within large social benefit distribution programs, for example. India's #Aadhaar has its weaknesses (authentication framework design) but nothing that cannot be corrected.

"stolen" would mean that 1bn records have leaked. According to the only report available, there was a privilege abuse allowing uncontrolled access to some demographic data. Why not wait for the details of the story before jumping to conclusions?

Bc (a) where there’s smoke, there’s fire; (b) “details” will be whitewashed, so only jumping to conclusions is available; & (c) it stinks.
