I'm having troubles grasping why you, of all the people, would be supportive of US regime change games.. When Trump and Bibi are praising something, it should be obvious that the opposite is right..

It was Carter's CIA in 1979 who deposed the Shah and instituted this oppressive theocracy in a non-muslim country -and which was supported by Obama and Rice. This revolution could correct 30 yrs of US/CIA puppet-state rule.

Snowden still works for the state.

Living in a country that has been sanctioned for two decades, I can tell you sanctions are not designed to help the people restore their freedom, they're designed to strangle the governments "and" the people
-
matter of fact, i think it only puts the people under pressure. because after all, a corrupted regime has nothing to be pressured for. they take what they take, there is no sense of
#Responsibility, And all those Who have it are either burned, or they quit. Target is the people..

Haha .. It is not necessary, google has been helping the destruction of the Middle East for several years. For this reason my support has always been closer to
@JulianAssange than to@Snowden. This boy still does not understand his own government.

If you want to improve the economic situation in Iran (which triggered the genuine protests), lift sanctions and un-freeze assets, no need to resort to Silicon Valley branch of Deep State.

USA spent $3 Billion in the last decade on Voice of America, will spend another $2.5 Billion over next. Could well be that in 2018, money would be much better spent on internet infrastructure out of control of the Mullahs (or those aiding and abetting them) rather than radio.
-
Your info on VOA budget is incorrect. Also radio is a small part of what VOA does. Get your facts straight. Then I’d be happy to discuss how to improve VOA.
-
The figures are quite correct and taken directly from Congressional authorizations. For 2018 VOA is seeking $225 million in funding.
-
As an protester I think how would be a good tool for us if it can reflect what people need(riot news based on the reality, not those ir regime wants.)
-
Social media has been resposible for the overthrew of every repressive regime in past decade. If the US government wants to help - instead of maintaining the dinosaur bureaucracy job program which is VOA - keeping those channels open is a better and more efficient focus.
-
Again, social media is a huge focus of VOA. This is from todayhttps://www.voanews.com/a/live-blog-iran-protests-jan-1-/4187277.html …
-
Its funny that you completely ignore the fact that the Iranian government has cut the cord on all of this, and can continue to do so at their whim. What can VOA do about that? Beam it in by shortwave radio signals like its still 1965?
-
I guess you are unaware that VOA supplies many people in repressive countries with free encryption/masking/VPN software. There are also other ways to get around censorship which I'm not going to bother explaining to you but that most fourth-graders are aware of.
