A Lie, a Cover-Up, and a Stolen Election: @nzherald's new evidence shows former PM of New Zealand John Key lied to his country about mass surveillance plans in the final days before the vote -- and won. #nzpolhttps://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/935475585916243973 …

Amazing @nzherald investigation that: 1) confirms what I said in my trip to New Zealand: PM John Key lied *repeatedly & knowingly* about his mass domestic spying program; 2) proves Key & GSBC lied about the existence of documents proving their false claims http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11948852 …

But the Herald still does good work. This appears to be an example of that. They've finally realised what many of us knew about Key. He was a continual liar.

lol no, the only credible sources are RNZ and The Spinoff. there's a lot of paid/sponsored dribble as well as your fair share of he said-she said political commentary coming from Herald & Stuff. Newsroom and Newshub are alright & aren't as biased w/ their viewpoints.

but yes, this piece is an example of the publication to cave-in when it comes to putting relevant info out. other news outlets vomit til the Herald pulls the "Oh Well, I guess we have to speak on it now" attitude. follow the money and you'll find Peter Thiel+ more in the mix. 😏

I watched PT speak a few years ago, got nothing at all from it, and it worries me he’s in so tight with gov in NZ.

YEP! you'd think with lil NZ consuming a lot of Amerikkka's politics, they'd recall the shady folk involved in the drama overseas as well as TPPA here. PT slid under the cracks and got full citizenship in 12 Days where i'm sure $$$ was a strong factor in that transaction too. 🙄

I would have thought this proof from the Herald would have raised alarm bells—yet the MSM (mainstream misogynists) went on about the @golrizghahraman non-story. And people are lapping that BS up … surely mass surveillance is a Bad Thing?
