Please avoid looking to the Herald for your up to the minute nz info.

What's your preferred source of New Zealand news?
-
Newsroom and newshub are better.
-
But the Herald still does good work. This appears to be an example of that. They've finally realised what many of us knew about Key. He was a continual liar.
-
lol no, the only credible sources are RNZ and The Spinoff. there's a lot of paid/sponsored dribble as well as your fair share of he said-she said political commentary coming from Herald & Stuff. Newsroom and Newshub are alright & aren't as biased w/ their viewpoints.
-
but yes, this piece is an example of the publication to cave-in when it comes to putting relevant info out. other news outlets vomit til the Herald pulls the "Oh Well, I guess we have to speak on it now" attitude. follow the money and you'll find Peter Thiel+ more in the mix.

-
I watched PT speak a few years ago, got nothing at all from it, and it worries me he’s in so tight with gov in NZ.
-
YEP! you'd think with lil NZ consuming a lot of Amerikkka's politics, they'd recall the shady folk involved in the drama overseas as well as TPPA here. PT slid under the cracks and got full citizenship in 12 Days where i'm sure $$$ was a strong factor in that transaction too.

Wanted for prison: Snowden (for exposing illegal spying) Dotcom (for doing what Google, Microsoft, Box etc. do but at different scale, different attitude, privacy added) Not wanted for prison NSA executives (for illegal spying) John Key (for perjury)

The worst part is we all knew he was lying

-
Yep, and the sheeple still all wanted the ponytail puller. I worry for our ability to analyse facts as a nation.
-
Yes that’s exactly my concern. Kiwi collective intelligence is questionable.
-
I would have thought this proof from the Herald would have raised alarm bells—yet the MSM (mainstream misogynists) went on about the
@golrizghahraman non-story. And people are lapping that BS up … surely mass surveillance is a Bad Thing? -
For sure, the focus on her always had to be for the purposes of distracting the sheeple from real issues. Amazing how people will fly into a blind rage the moment a woman is succeeding too.
-
Oh yeah, there are plenty of ex-lawyers who have become MPs and never faced this level of scrutiny. Conclusion: penis = immunity.
-
Absolutely!!

Thank for what you did. Your revelations persuaded PM Key to drop the proposed mass surveillance program within NZ
