Discussion of rubber-stamp #FISA court must recall they knowingly permitted unlawful surveillance of every American.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/07/nsa-phone-surveillance_n_7231872.html …

Surveillance state defenders refuse to accept that a secret court routinely granting 100% of requests is a rubber stamp. But will you? #FISApic.twitter.com/4HyZkDCQ0l

Or the rubber stamp theory is held by people who don't understand how the FISC and FISA works. 🤔

There are well known legal standards developed after years of submissions. No surprise that almost all applications are granted.

As for Snowden, what makes him an expert? If I stole a Michelangelo or Picasso, it wouldn't make me an artist or painter.

If he worked in Picasso's studio and saw that art was made by monkeys, stealing art would help identify forgeries based on brush stroke etc.

Except very little of what he stole was anything he actually worked on. Ask him. Go ahead, ask.

#FISA Court and National Security Letters #NSL are the antithesis of transparency. Pillars of the Orwellian state we find ourselves in.

Because its a court for spies to get permission to spy in the US. If it was transparent the target would avoid getting caught.

I'm not talking full details, obviously that would cause harm. But there is unnecessary secrecy i.e.appointed judges unconfirmed by congress

Every judge on the FISA court is a federal district court judge. They all were confirmed by the Senate. Know your facts before talking.
