@konnichy the way Android reports access rights is flawed (not specific). to be a feature rich app, Signal must have permissions. -
@yawnbox Having to trade privacy/trust for features is not exactly what I expect when looking for a privacy-enabling app. -

@yawnbox No need to compare when dealing with permissions to access "confidential journal", agenda, location, SMS, phone history, files... -
@konnichy Use Signal, use default apps, or don't use a phone. One must compare and is why people use Signal. -
@konnichy If you're in the tin-foil hat group, you either use Cyanogen/Marshmellow to restrict perms, or you don't use a mobile device. -
@konnichy OWS is free software, too. trust is offset with being able to see exactly how your files/info could be used if at all.
