TL;DR on the #MuslimBan decision: The President can abuse the "national security" exception, and even openly says they are abusing it, so long as the actual written order pretends it is not abusing it. Even if you're pro-Trump, you should worry where this precedent leads.pic.twitter.com/9LngcQyqPw

I'd normally after with you but for a guy who deals in facts, you missed that the travel ban does not cover about 92% of the world Muslim population You intentionally misleading or just stop actually fact checking?

Name one terrorist whose committed an attack in the U.S from any one of of these countries, I’ll wait. Meanwhile terrorists from Saudi Arabia are allowed to travel freely. It was a Muslim ban. It was meant to placate his supporters.

You'll be waiting a long time, and "only 10% of [insert group of humans here] are banned" is a remarkably terrible argument. Perhaps @giggitybytes would need to know people affected by this to think differently. Wonder if (s)he does. 🤔All in all, yup, pure placating of his base.

The whole point was people calling it a Muslim ban when it ain't. I didn't say anything about anything beyond that. Start shit with someone else.

The "people calling it a Muslim ban" was literally Trump. https://web.archive.org/web/20170301013409/https://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-releases/donald-j.-trump-statement-on-preventing-muslim-immigration …

You're wrong here. There is ZERO reason to import people who may harm us from terrorist hotbeds.

So the country that produces the highest number of terrorist, Saudi Arabia, is in that list, isn't it?

Disagree, I have little confidence in migration bans avoiding Muslim terrorism in USA, Europe or any other developed country with an already important Muslim population. Just my thoughts.

It was a mistake letting them establish populations in the west, in my opinion. Our core beliefs are just too different, but the answer isn't importing more.

I'd take your point if there was no legitimate justification for national security purposes, but there clearly is, and to ignore that is disingenuous. The arguments against the travel ban were ill-founded. In saying that, people should ALWAYS be wary of their government.

If stop & frisk policy only covers poor urban areas, not suburbs, it doesn't make it less racist. It's a ban against underprivileged Muslim countries, nations that don't buy US weapons, not allies, and/ don't serve geographical strategical purpose for US bases.
