“Firefall” at Horsetail Fall in Yosemite National Park, California, looks like a scene from a fantasy movie. But, it is an ordinary waterfall, which is illuminated by the sunset, that gives it a fiery glow.pic.twitter.com/kP2aFmM6Cg

I visited 35 years ago from
, camped in Yosemite just before thanksgiving . The holiday crowds arrived so quickly in the valley that from that spot, all we could see was smog from RV’s. Alas, no photo -
Advise a re-visit but aim for mid May to see the waterfall dance; make sure to go B4 the Memorial Day Holiday weekend May 25 or in late September for vibrant fall colors or winter to enjoy winter

Yes, at Glacier Point
Scenic view of Yosemite valley below & the various domes & waterfalls. If you haven’t visited on a dark sky night, plan on it. Visiting astronomy clubs set up
so the public can view
