Your passion for competing shines through in this video. As a casual player, I felt your frustration. I honestly believe there needs to be a players association like in pro sports that negotiates and works with developers with the professional's interests in mind.

Developers who agree to work with the players association would have the best shot at a thriving esports scene imo. It would also make entering the esports world more forgiving to aspiring professionals.

To add to your work vs payout argument here, you have to get Top 6 in the GLL tourney to make more than minimum wage for just the tournament time alone that you put in. Assuming you play 3 hours a day during this time as well (less than expected), you'd need to get Top 2.
