Thank you for posting this. By and large, it's the smaller property and drug crimes that have a higher recidivism rate. Murderers rarely commit another murder after release. Stealing, drugs, etc. is then committed because they're not allowed back into society.

And older people who are released have a very polite recidivism rate as well.
