1/2 Thanks for digging up this passage. I think this is actually consistent with what I said—thinking can’t be reduced to computation, computation is one thing thinking sometimes does. However, what’s at issue is what thinking actually is in its concrete state.

2/2 And this thing that thinking is is essentially bound up with values, judgments, emotions, and intuitions. What’s left after these aspects are cut off (always in the abstract) is no longer the thinking that living things do, but something quite different.
