One thing I don't think Matt highlighted is that sleep amt in humans is normally distributed so some ppl need 4hrs and some ppl need 12 for optimal functioning, but the vast majority is 8. So if you are a person that functions great after 4 or 5 hours of sleep, that could be ur #

But if you're struggling, then tip #1 would be get more sleep. I'm guessing he glazed over that bc he knows everybody would then try to convince themselves they are a 4-6hr person, but may be causing undue anxiety in natural short sleepers.
