@SlackHQ any reason why you don't have previews for SVGs (but for all other image formats, PDFs, ...)? Since the app is Electron/Chrome based it definitely would be capable of rendering SVGs easily, no?pic.twitter.com/86Bcr4fpBW
There isn't a particular reason for this, but it is on our team's radar. We'll let them know this is something you'd like to see available.

If you do implement it, please consider embedding it in an <iframe sandbox> instead of an <img> so that text is selectable and accessible to screen readers
This could be huge to stop people from posting PNG screenshots of text.
(but any preview is better than no preview ofc) -
