It's not possible to leave the general channel as it's a place to share information or announcements that all members of the workspace should see. Can you let us know why you're finding this doesn't work for you?

Ah, we see. Guest accounts are only an option on Paid Slack workspaces to allow you to connect with folks that only need access to select channels. There's no option for this on the Free plan.https://bit.ly/3g1V76l
