Please remove my colleagues' profile pictures from Slack Sidebar. What I want is just a status display. How can I get rid of these pictures? I don't want profile pictures.

@SlackHQ are you even planning to revert this feature or add toggle off?
While it's not currently possible to turn the avatars off, we appreciate you sharing your feedback! We are currently collecting feedback on this change and will make a note of yours.
