Hi @SlackHQ, would you mind fixing your iOS client?
In the last days it keeps marking messages as “read” on its own.
Would it also be possibile to add some basic admin functions such as moving threads or merging posts?
Thanks, @g_bonfiglio is forcing me using your platform.

That's odd! Sorry for the trouble. You're noticing messages are marked as 'read' before you've read them? Or channels? Or both?
We'll let our team know you'd like to be able to move threads! What do you mean by merging posts?1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 3 polubione -

Entire channels, a few seconds after opening the app or while reading the “threads” section. It’s happened also to
@cesco_78 and@_marcosumma AFAIK, so it doesn’t seem to be device related. Wonderful, thanks. Merging posts would allow admin to move single posts in a thread!1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 1 polubiony -

Ok, so you're finding that when on the iOS app, you read unread messages in one channel then find that the other unread channels no longer show as unread, is that right? Are the others that you mentioned also experiencing this issue only on iOS? Noted on merging!

I’m seeing the same issue... if I launch into the app after not being online for a while, the menu view will show several channels as unread then a second later some or all of them will be marked as read... but I haven’t read those channels!

FWIW, I’ve had other coworkers report the same issue on iOS... only seems to have popped up about two weeks or so ago.

Correction... also on iOS. Seemed to imply we were seeing it on multiple platforms in my last tweet. The unintentional mark as read bug has only been happening for us on iOS, but it does propagate the read status to all devices.
