Previews to hyperlinks and google drive files and slackbot constantly reminding me the person has turned off notification and other simalar slackbot messages when i shared google drive files and ping when a person has turned off notification.

Basically i prefer my chat to be clean constant flow of conversation between two people rather than the bot and previews making the chat look a bit congested.

You know you could ask first if you want slackbot to continue showing such messages or show previews and we can select no or yes depending on our preference.

Got it. Makes sense! Some of what you're requesting is possible — go to Preferences > Messages & media > uncheck the boxes next to "Show images and files from linked websites" and "Show text previews of linked websites".
