yes, why you don't implement a quote or reply type (WhatsApp, Telegram...), instead of threads on a different screen, which is not only confusing but annoying as hell. I don't know anyone who likes threads on Slack!

perhaps it would be useful to share a message within the same channel instead of using threads in this case. You can do this by following the steps here: https://bit.ly/2VILJL6 To share within the same channel, simply choose that channel name when sharing.
