Can someone explain to me why @SlackHQ required me to install a `helper` with privileges?

It may have been installed through the company’s self service. So I should reach out to our IT?
Yes! Tell them to email us at feedback@slack.com if they aren't sure how to disable it, and we'll send them some details.
