Both. It shows on the dock and on the workspace icon on the left.
Apologies, we get what you mean! This is currently the expected behaviour on the desktop app in Do Not Disturb, but we'll let the team here know that you'd prefer an option with no badging.

That would be great. I'm in multiple workspaces so it's frustrating not to be able to disable one completely while I'm working in the others.
