And whyyyy can't you get all unread threads individually up top on desktop, like the mobile apps do by default. Instead of the "All unreads" "thread?"

I like the mobile view: Stacking all unread channels and conversations at the top of the sidebar. Then I can handle them one by one, like a task. Jumbling all unreads together in a "channel" does not give me the optimal focus on every conversation.
Ah got it. Are you in a workspace on the free plan, or a paid plan? If the free plan, you can go to Preferences > Sidebar > choose what you'd like to show, and how it's sorted.
