Hey @SlackHQ a feature request for you. Please add a way to hide messages just for you in a channel. If I get an email that is upsetting or demoralizing to me personally but I know it is not to others, then I can just archive it or mute the thread. Can I do that in Slack already?
Hey Paul, thanks so much for reaching out with this perspective. We don't have exactly this feature, but we'll think on it. If those emails are being brought in via built-in features, you should be able to click a small triangle 
or use /collapse to collapse previews.

In this instance I wanted to ignore/hide a message in a Slack room. Though as I am required to be in that room I cannot just leave it. For now I'll just mute the room and I'll unmute it when enough traffic has gone by. If something is really important it'll be a DM anyway. Thanks
