Tagging systems would be helpful if they were actionable. DMs have become the new Slack channels. Msgs need a new way to gain priority. If I could tag a message that needed to be responded too by someone and subsequently untagged confirming receipt, that would change my workflow

An interesting thought! Would a secondary emoji do the trick? For example,
to draw attention to a task, then
when it's been actioned?1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 1 polubiony -

Something like that would be great! As long as I could easily see my “To Do’s” and “Assigned” messages. Obviously don’t want it to become a secondary Jira board to deal with
. It would likely make threads more bearable. Just one persons thoughts though. Slack is our lifeline

Hmm, you might like to take a look at the Reacji Channeller. You can use emoji reactions to move messages into a dedicated channel.https://slack.com/help/articles/360000482666-Copy-messages-to-another-channel-instantly …

Useful tool on a global level. But on an individual level we need ways to track what we deem as important or someone needs from us. Ex you have 12 DMs and mentions in all. What are the asks for me in those DMs. A specific tagged action item would make sifting and follow up easier

Ah! We see what you mean. Thanks for this, Michael. We'll give this some thought!
