So it's causing some issues.

Our use case is to copy & paste this as a hyperlink within our invite email so to have it auto-include non-linked text breaks that link. (at least have the ability to customize the "Join..." pre-text) It's just not clear that by copying a link, you're also adding non-link text.
In your use case, is the extraneous text removable if you don't want it? If you paste it into an invite email does the invite link itself still function or is it broken?

Think we might be talking past each other - if I copy a link (in any app/environment) I expect it to just be a link, not accompanied by any text. This text implies that it's just a link.pic.twitter.com/4SCEpsPdI0
