Typing "/something" didnt have a popup that moved my cursor from the text entry field to the popup, which allowed me to quickly /thing 1 2 3 because I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Now the workflow moves my cursor/text entry up 20% of my screen real estate to a search box and back down to text entry to complete the workflow. Totally jarring, feels like a microsoft teams UX, not a slack UX.
