@SlackHQ Is there a way to turn off avatars in the sidebar? After the last update, which now shows DM avatars, my sidebar is a mess. I much prefer a clean minimal look.
While there's no way to toggle the avatars off at the moment, we're collecting feedback on the new feature and will make a note that you'd like to see this added!

I appreciate that you've added my voice to the chorus shouting about this. I've got a lot of unhappy people in my organisation today. We use Teams for video conferencing and this change may give the push to use it for chat rather than Slack. Hope it can be rectified promptly.
