But why couldn't you keep the preference like before. I don't know about you, but a breaking change is one of the worst thing an app can do, especially if it can be avoided.
Sorry Iulian! That wasn't our intention. We changed the default for the up arrow because folks with screen readers need that ability to navigate Slack. We wanted accessibility to be the default, but made a toggle for folks who preferred the old behaviour.

Can't you detect when a screen reader is used, and change this accordingly? Or maybe notify the users of this change. Because my colleagues were wasting time using the mouse and clicking through menus for this, because they had no way of knowing about this change.
