Hi there! This was updated in order to make Slack more accessible for those that rely on keyboard navigation. But why couldn't you keep the preference like before. I don't know about you, but a breaking change is one of the worst thing an app can do, especially if it can be avoided.

Sorry Iulian! That wasn't our intention. We changed the default for the up arrow because folks with screen readers need that ability to navigate Slack. We wanted accessibility to be the default, but made a toggle for folks who preferred the old behaviour.
