Please remove my colleagues' profile pictures from Slack Sidebar. What I want is just a status display. How can I get rid of these pictures? I don't want profile pictures.

This isn't the first time for a "controversial" change like this. In the future, please launch this kind of changes with an opt-out. I can understand you want this to be default, but by now you probably realise that your existing users often don't appreciate them.

Hopefully all such changes will be deployed in the future with an option to switch them off at the same time. As it stands, the sidebar icon change is a retrograde step, adding nothing except making it harder to see someone's status.

Indeed. It is especially hard to see if someone is online but with notifications turned off
