if you're used to a typed cmd the pop up is jolting (like most popups) also it doesn't work. the reddit article kind of says it better but if I type the command /s/someword/someneword the popup not only takes the slash away in the box, which is jolting, but adds space after enter

+1, this seems awful. If I want to search giphy, I can't even press enter to search. It was such a clean interface before, this just seems like extra bulk.
