The new @SlackHQ slash command UI is so powerfully dumb. Why on earth are you stealing my focus to another text field hundreds of pixels away from where I am looking?

This is incorrect. The cursor, focus, and content of what I am typing jump up from the message input into another text box at the top of the suggestion list until I finish typing the slash command. This is horrid UX.
How did you interact with slash commands before that was different? Was the autocomplete list different for you, and now your usual results aren't at the top? Or something else?

I never paid any attention to the autocomplete list. My cursor and the text I was typing stayed in the message field where it belongs.
