Please remove my colleagues' profile pictures from Slack Sidebar. What I want is just a status display. How can I get rid of these pictures? I don't want profile pictures.

Plus one from me and my colleagues as well. This change is not really user friendly without a setting to disable it.

Not everyone has relevant avatars and the photos are a bit too small to recognize. The result is that the photos clutter the sidebar and distract when searching for smth. The sidebar is also distracting in general now as it is very colorful.

Very hard to see if your teammates are online or offline. Specially in times like these with everyone WFH. Would be great if there is a preference to en/disable this

Hi Ben! Unfortunately there isn't a way to turn that off, but we do have an option to change the color of the online status. Hopefully that makes things easier to spot at a glance!

@SlackHQ it’s distracting and difficult to look at - already spending a ton of time staring at a screen, these tiny icons/clutter make the eye strain even worse. i’m sure some like it but i’m desperate for an option to remove
