@SlackHQ The user pics in the DM list is so distracting.. I received complaints from over a dozen employees in a couple hours asking me to disable it.. Any idea if and when we'll be able to customize this?

Oh, dear god, please please please provide a means of turning the profile pics off in the sidebar. I like clean and simple, and this is just distracting.

Great. And lest you think the outcry is just folks objecting to something different — it used to be easy to see peripherally when someone in your DM sidebar was online or offline. But now, with the status circle being embedded in profile pics, it's MUCH harder to see. Worse UI.
