I already solved the issue by sending invitations to the external member's email addresses. I wanted to highlight the problem to improve your product rather asking solutions.
We recognize that the difference between the terms "shared invite" and "shared channel invitation" are confusing, so we're working to ensure we do the legwork on our end regardless of which invitation you choose. Thanks for bearing with us while we work on this! 3/3
