@SlackHQ I've got my phone to wait 2 minutes before notifying me of a new message when I'm using the desktop client. It's stubbornly refusing to abide by this rule. Have a word with it please, it used to work!
Rude! We'll give it a stern talking to. To confirm, you're actively using the desktop client, and want notifications to be sent to both desktop and mobile, but mobile on a two-minute delay? Or something else?

I know! It’s probably my misunderstanding but I don’t want my phone to alert me when I’m on my desktop client unless I’m not actively using it. I’m sure it used to do this but it’s ignoring this timeout now it seems.pic.twitter.com/4btmgQ6KVv

Can you check a setting in your desktop instance of Slack? Preferences > Notifications > scroll down, under "When I'm not active on desktop" you'll want "after I've been inactive for 2 minutes" selected. If it says "immediately, even if I'm active", that could be the culprit.
