Excuse me, @SlackHQ, did you seriously just change blockquote support to match Discord's/MarkDown without mentioning it or documenting it anywhere?

We haven't changed anything recently.
We made some big changes to message formatting in Slack (the WYSIWYG option) at the end of last year, though. What in particular are you experiencing?1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 0 polubionych -

Well, you pushed out something unintentionally, then.
As recently as yesterday, preceding a message with `>>>` caused it to become a blockquote; today, you have to precede it with `>>> ` (note the trailing space) instead. This change brings Slack in line with Discord behavior.1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 0 polubionych -

Hmmmm we just tried on our end and both methods (with and without the trailing space) seem supported for pretty simple raw text when using Markup. Could you show us what you're looking to format?

Arbitrary text that I want to blockquote. Could be a sentence, could be paragraphs. Heh. Yeah, it sure does look like someone added back support for `>>>` since we started this conversation. IDK, man, you've got someone making cowboy changes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Interesting.
We'll keep an eye out. Please let us know if that crops up again.
