Add a feature setting that makes it impossible to slack users when they are away.
Hey there! Your Do Not Disturb settings will prevent notifications for the times that you don't wish to receive them. Your teammates would have the option to override this once per day, but here's hoping that wouldn't be necessary

Notifications is not the issue. Users should be able to stop incoming slacks when they are not available. Telling other users you are not available does not prevent them from sending a slack. Slack, and all DMs, are incredibly disruptive tools. Users need a way to shut the door
