Why does the @SlackHQ client, after seeing me type messages in a channel, remain convinced i have unread messages in that channel?
This shouldn’t be that difficult.
It depends on your preferences! Click your avatar in the top right > Preferences > Mark as Read > if you've selected "Start me at the newest message, but leave unseen messages unread", that would be the culprit. Change it to either of the other options and you should be good.
