I have @SlackHQ installed on two machines and both of them have the box checked to start at startup. Neither do it. Even on a fresh image, it doesn’t do it.
Will this button ever work?

Yep. Have even fully uninstalled, downloaded latest version, and installed. This has been happening for at least 2 years of updates.
