@SlackHQ Command-t is how I navigated to unreads. The behavior here has changed and I'm really struggling to adapt.
Are yall recommending an alternative for switching rapidly through unreads?

Is there some shortcut to rapidly cycle through unread channels? Otherwise this makes slack wayyyyy less efficient for me to use.

There is! Option+Shift+↑/Option+Shift+↓ on Mac, or alt+Shift+↑/Alt+Shift+↓ on Windows/Linux.
