Dear @SlackHQ , for the love of god, implement something so that one person's DMs don't pop up a notification every 10 seconds if they insist on sending a stream of consciousness to me.

Exactly. If I already had a notification a few seconds ago, I don't need another one. Some sort of rate limit would be good.
it might be helpful to mute your DM conversation with that person. You can do this by opening the DM, clicking the i at the top right > More > Mute conversation.
