“Calling people by the correct pronouns matters”. In my country this is very simple: a man is he/him/his and a woman is she/her/hers. Not very difficult! Any 4 year older gets it!

We’re all uncomfortable one way or another. It’s human nature. If i decide i want to be called “Melina, the mermaid”, do i have a right to force people to call me that? And since it’s impossible for me to be a mermaid, why would i force people to tell an obvious lie?

No one is forcing you, they are asking you to be kind, compassionate and understanding. If you cannot do that mayhap just avoid interacting with people you fail to understand.

Let’s be honest here. The other day a black guy turned “woman” went to a tv show where the moderator mispronounced lightly his name. The guy’s response: “mispronouncing the name or not using the right pronouns of a trans person is violence”. No one is forcing? Yeah...

And let's be honest here my friend, of a pal of yours preferred to be called a different name, you'd probably oblige. So why is it when someone else simply prefers a different title you can't concede. You don't need to change your ideology. You can just be nice.
