I don’t think people who own guns are insane, but I wouldn’t give a gun to a child, no matter how much adult supervision.

It's been 11 years. I'm as proud of this film as I was at the premiere 11 years ago. My book inspired the most creative gang of people: Henry Selick and his amazing team at

This is Banana Republic type politics. Only in third world dictatorships do politicians live in fear of their leaders.

If this is not apartheid, I don't know what is. How can it be right that a Palestinian family is forced to hand over their house which they have owned since 1963 to Israel settlers living illegally in EJ.

    4) it's a tshirt. Some people wear them because it's illegal to go naked, not to advertise their musical tastes

But this is not about wearing merch of bands, games, movies you're NOT interested in, it's about dudes constantly having the audacity to question whether someone *who is into these things* wearing said merch "legitimately" by handing us a fucking pop quiz about the topic.

Don’t wear band shirts anymore, but I’ll never forget being a teenage girl wearing a Paramore shirt and some mid 20s aged guy asked me if I knew who they were. I’m 100% sure teen girls are the exact target audience for Paramore and this dude still asked me that lol.

That’s a different point, but a fair one. Like if they’re gonna insult people’s actual morals or faith over the same band they later wear, that’s a different problem than someone minding their business just wearing a band shirt (or engaging some other fandom) then subject to bs.

I definitely feel like this applies to white people (esp. the men). But I definitely be annoyed when people I know IRL, who call certain music "demonic", "noise", etc., wear those same band tees. Like you don't even necessarily have to be a fan, just don't be a hypocrite imo

Of course, as there’s more than one 1 way or reason to consume art. I don’t think appreciation always requires hoarding trivia tidbits. Art from fan perspective is an experience that should be beyond basic gotcha moments of e.g. surveilling ppl’s tees & expecting proof of fealty.

They laugh at "snowflakes" talking about cultural appropriation, but absolutely lose their shit if you dont know the middle name of the second bassist for that one band who has a cool shirt
