English vs British is distinction with a lot of political history behind it. Here, British=English. It does slightly bother me. I'm English.

Would you ever refer to something as 'British' in a specific situation or sentence? Or is English often the proper term?

@SkolnickWho the British Isles would correctly be called British. Apart from something on that level, I'd say English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

Thank you! It seems, as a basic american, I often found myself referring to the descriptors British & English interchangeably
