I think USNews had been ranking things for many years. Like Ben mentioned, I'm sure they balance many areas into the overall list.

Yeah I dunno, it was the first list that came up. I am pretty set on where I am going anyway.. just need to make sure its a good area around there.

Yeah. I read these lists a lot, too. Our number one want is “not cold” and they always put things like New Hampshire, Vermont etc. I don’t care if it ranks high in their happiness index, low cost of living, low taxes, business friendly, etc. it gets cold there
