Ol' Warcraft friends... Imagine if I wanted to return back to WoW pre-Shadowlands, in order to level up to where I should be for this xpac, is there a "best method"/event I should do? I'm so very removed from the game/knowledge that I'm feeling like a stranger in a strange land.

I am also removed but I believe you can level to 50 in any expansion with Chrome Time.

I mean, you might as well just do the BfA stuff i f you haven't seen it. Once you leave the new starter area, you'll be 50 at the end of 2/3 zones. Fastest?? Almost certainly Warlords or the Cata revamp old world. Definitely NOT BC or Wrath.

Thank you! I did some BfA a couple years back, but was unaware if I was missing some common knowledge event before the xpac.

I stopped playing after MoP so I'm not sure where I would start level wise. I'm going to try the come back weekend thing and see where it puts me.

I hear ya. I did some of the initial zones in BfA but have no clue where I left things. I just remember there being some awful mini game henchman quest thing that loomed as the "end game grind" up ahead. I think I jumped before encountering that.

Make sure you have heirlooms For Warlords: Use the Handy Notes addon (from http://curseforge.com  and fly around opening chests. For Legion: do invasions (leveling is super fast)https://wow.gameinfo.io/legion-invasions …

I'm in the same boat, but not sure if I'll actually come back.

I tend to like to dip into the initial release and the excitement of the questions/storytelling and initial exploration of the new zones. End game lost its charm in recent expansions with the mini-end-game stuff (which personally does not feel like WoW to me).
