Do people have to get drugged when they get their wisdom teeth removed in the US? Can’t they get like a normal local anaesthetic? 
So many videos of people who are high on drugs after having teeth removed. It’s not like that here and I’ve had all 4 removed.
I suppose it depends on the dentist's decision and the difficulty of the extraction. The decision for local anesthesia vs sensitive/asleep for the procedure widely varies. I don't think so here is a "standard". Hope this helps?
