What makes you think the sort of folks who relied on Trump would support someone like him?
As the as article states, this region is heavily demographic leaning, but seems to back Trump very much. I cannot present to you reasons beyond the absolute craving this area has & listens to anyone promising the return of steel/manufacturing jobs that left in the 70s and 80s.
